The PEACH Seminar Series are short one-hour lectures, held quarterly, in which physicians or professors discuss their research and methods. All lectures relate to pediatric health equity research.

Objective(s): 1 Differentiate between clinical data sources (e.g., EHR-based datasets, national or state registries, and social determinants of health (SDOH) surveys) to determine which tools most accurately capture the health disparities relevant to specific pediatric populations. 2 Analyze common data challenges in the clinical research workflow—such as lack of standards, missing demographic variables, and algorithmic bias—to mitigate risks that could inadvertently worsen health inequities. 3 Select appropriate tool or data extraction service to minimize data cleaning and maximize analyses and production of actionable evidence.
