Michigan Medicine Spring 2025 Adult ECMO Course

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (22.50 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (22.50 hours)

This course is designed as an ECMO Team training course, incorporating every role for the treatment team including but not limited to Physicians, Perfusionists, Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Advanced Practice Providers. Course content is delivered via didactic lectures and case studies, wet lab skills sessions, and high-fidelity simulations. After attending this course, participants will understand the concepts and hands on skills needed to initiate VV and/or VA ECMO, understand ECMO patient management, identify key markers of ECMO support adequacy, troubleshoot common ECMO circuit complications, describe the ECMO weaning process as well as the ECMO decannulation process.

1. Know and implement into practice ECMO techniques for initiation, managing, troubleshooting, and discontinuing ECMO support.

Cancellation Policy: Full refunds of the course fee are accepted until 14 days (3/25/25) prior to course event. Half refunds of the course fee are accepted up to 7 days (4/1/25) prior to course event.
