Overview
One physician and one administrative lead from each practice must attend this Regional Meeting to meet participation requirements required by the Consortium. This is one of the participation requirements that positions the practice to receive its annual CQI (MOQC) Value-based Payment (VBP) from BCBSM. Other members of the practice, including clinical team leaders and administrators are strongly encouraged to attend. Mid-level providers are welcomed but their attendance cannot be substituted for physicians’ attendance.
After this activity, participants will be able to document the components of a complete family history of cancer for oncology patients and prescribe the correct set of antiemetic medications for patients receiving chemotherapy based on the emetic risk of the treatment. They will also learn to utilize the PDCA cycle for quality improvement efforts.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Document the components of a complete family history.
  2. Explain the components of a PDCA (plan, do, check, act) cycle.
  3. Describe the appropriate antiemetic regimen to prescribe based on emetic risk.

Accreditation
The University of Michigan Medical School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
