The goal of the Family Medicine Faculty Development Institute is to provide new and junior faculty, fellows, and senior residents with the tools that will aid in their growth and development as family physicians. Sessions will be taught by educational leaders from the University of Michigan and Michigan State University, covering a wide range of relevant, high-yield topics including, but not limited to, evidence-based teaching skills, mentorship in the health professions, development of educational scholarship, and demystifying the promotion process.

3. use evidence-based teaching techniques in-person and online
4. provide effective feedback to learners
5. mentor learners
6. create educational scholarship
7. utilize leadership tools to lead in their spaces
8. use self-management skills to develop wellness
