Overview
This two half-day virtual conference features noted national and Michigan experts who will address a range of topics in the field of child abuse prevention, assessment, and treatment. After this activity, participants will be able to effectively diagnose, recognize, intervene, and plan treatment of child abuse and neglect.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to implement:

  1. Recent advances in the field and applications to practice
  2. Improved recognition of the symptoms of abused and neglected children in complex presentations
  3. Improved recognition of the source of child behavior when children are abused and neglected
  4. Successful intervention and treatment plans for children
  5. Successful prevention models in child abuse and neglect
