Overview
Pediatric and comprehensive ophthalmologists encounter various challenges in diagnosing and treating pediatric eye conditions and complicated adult strabismus. This activity aims to enhance the competence of by emphasizing the integration of current and emerging technologies into care plans and utilizing lecture, panel discussions, and case-based learning approaches. Topics will include managing complex strabismus cases, resolving diagnostic challenges related to anterior segment disorders, and selecting appropriate treatments for conditions such as red eye, trauma, amblyopia, refractive errors, and pediatric cancers. Participants will refine their skills and improve their capacity to deliver optimal care to young patients and adult patients with strabismus with challenging or rare eye conditions.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Differentiate between neuro-ophthalmic and non-neuro-ophthalmic causes of vision loss.
  2. Apply evidence-based standards of care to manage key neuro-ophthalmologic complaints.
  3. Select appropriate patients for the latest technology in cataract surgery.
  4. Manage challenging postoperative outcomes in patients with vision loss.
