This full-day program will focus on imaging of the fetal heart. Our aim is to optimize the utility and performance of fetal cardiac screening to increase prenatal detection rates of congenial heart defects. This course includes formal lectures and live imaging of normal and abnormal fetal hearts. This course is intended for medical professionals and trainees who are involved in fetal cardiac screening by performing or interpreting ultrasound images of the fetal heart - including sonographers, obstetricians, radiologists, maternal fetal medicine specialists, midwives, among others.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to utilize new techniques in ultrasound used in fetal heart imaging to:

  1. Perform and interpret recommended cardiac screening views.
  2. Detect fetal cardiac abnormalities identified on the recommended cardiac screening views.
  3. Identify indications when a referral to a fetal cardiologist is needed.

NOTE: The Live Scanning Spots for in-person attendees have been filled. You will be added to the waiting list and will be notified if spots become available.
