Registration Options

Registration is an important consideration when planning your activity. There are two registration options to choose from:

Option 1: MiCME Registration

This is the preferred method. Registration and credit card payments are handled by MiCME. MiCME is approved for use through the University of Michigan Treasurer’s Office and it ensures that your participants have a MiCME account, which is required to claim credit, fill out evaluations and download certificates. Learn more about MiCME Registration.

Option 2: Departmental Registration

Departments are responsible for the entire registration process. Registration and credit card payments are handled by the departments, typically through an outside vendor. In addition, departments are responsible for getting participants to create a MiCME account in order to claim credit, fill out evaluations and download certificates. Learn more about Departmental Registration.

Check payments Departments process check payments, notify OCME staff to enter payments received into MiCME Department accepts and processes payments.
Shortcode payments Departments monitor registration reports for shortcode payments. Department processes payment. Department accepts and processes payments.
Receipts Accessible to participants via their MiCME account Department maintains receipts
Claiming Credits Participants login into their MiCME account to claim credits, complete evaluation, print certificate Department is responsible for making sure the participants have a MiCME account.
